Two principal passes in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Studies, Agriculture, Geography or Advanced Mathematics. Fine Arts, Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Advanced Mathematics, Agriculture, Computer Science or Nutrition. If one of the principal passes is not in Advanced Mathematics an applicant must have at least a subsidiary pass or a minimum of “D” grade in Mathematics a O-Level.

Kwa mfumo wa TCU, "Principal Pass" inamaanisha kupata alama kuanzia 'A' mpaka 'E' kwenye somo husika la Kidato cha Sita (A-Level). Alama ya 'S' (Subsidiary) na 'F' hazihesabiki kama Principal Pass.
Points za TCU hutolewa hivi: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1. Ili kujiunga na masomo ya Shahada (Degree), mwanafunzi anapaswa kupata jumla ya points 4.0 au zaidi kutoka kwenye Principal Passes zake mbili kuu zinazohitajika.
